Van Alst Studios is a 4,300 square foot mixed use building in the Hunters Point section of Long Island City, New York. Originally built in 1910 for two families and a bar, today Van Alst Studios is two commercial units and a pair of two bedroom apartments. A complete renovation, including a new certificate of occupancy for the property, was performed by Overarch Design Development in 2012. Each apartment is 900 square feet, with an additional 1,600 foot outdoor deck on the second floor. The ground floor street retail is 900 square feet, and a split level rear commercial space measures 1,600 square feet.

Long Island City is a former light manufacturing center on the East River waterfront in the New York City borough of Queens. Today it is known as a rapidly developing residential area and a vibrant destination for arts and culture. 

The commercial units at Van Alst Studios are fully leased and home to The Dermatology Specialists.
